Earn CEUs/PDUs from reading journal articles

In some states, you can earn CEUs for reading journal articles…score!

You’re already here, leveling up your clinical reasoning skills and doing right by your patients—so, why not get some credit toward renewing your OT license while you’re at it??

(And, pssst…reading journal articles counts toward your PDUs for your NBCOT renewal, too, so yay! See the details about this at #16 on the The NBCOT Renewal Activity Chart.. Also, the Google Doc below is simply an editable version of the NBCOT Journal/Textbook Reading Report.)

The catch for all of this is that you’ll need to fill out some info and write up a little blurb in order to get the credit. I went ahead and created a report template for you, and all you have to do is fill in the blanks!

Fill out a journal article report by making a copy of this Google Doc, to earn your CEU/PDU credits.

(Please confirm the details with your state or certifying board regarding whether reading journal articles can earn you CEUs—as well as the specific reporting structure you need to do so. This article can serve as a starting point to understanding if you qualify.)

Hint:
As of Oct. 16th 2019, we will start including an APA citation in the articles we discuss, to assist you in filling out the report.
