Wow, @lena! Those are two great experiences to jump-start your career! Here’s my two pieces of advice:
1.) In acute care: Work on getting really good at explaining why practicing ADLs is important. It is so important to work on function in this setting, but there is a learning curve for patients as to why! We wrote this acute care guide to patient friendly:
1.) To prep for outpatient peds, I recommend listening to our podcasts with Dr. Iona Novak and Michelle DeJesus- they do such a good job explaining how they translate best practices into their work with clients.
