Hi all! I have been working hard on marketing for my private practice with minimal success. I took suggestions from your post @SarahLyon and have done my research and I still can’t seem to get over the hump. Is anyone offering more personalized supports or can help coach me to increase success?
@lindsey10, tell me more! I want to figure out how I can help! Are your services all in person? Have you had your first clients yet?
My first piece of advice is to add your location really clearly to the top of your website. Honestly, I think one of the first things people want to know is: Is this therapist near me?
Hi Sarah! Thanks for responding. I will definitely make the location for visible- that is smart. I do have clients, who were previous clients when I worked in a hospital or come from my partner’s past caseload. We have had challenges getting more clients past that despite flyers, attending networking events, building community connections face-to-face and in-person. We have practices telling us they are referring to us, however have not gotten any new referrals.
Hi @lindsey10,
A few ideas in addition to what you are already doing:
Where do the clients that you are looking for spend their time? Focus on sharing about your services those areas.
It does generally take time to build name recognition, so the seeds you are planting now will support later development, but it can be a tough waiting period while waiting to see the fruits of that
Depending on the type of client, word of mouth is powerful. Getting Google reviews from past clients that are already happy with your services can be invaluable because that is the first place people go (on Google Maps) and look up reviews.
Hope that helps add to what you’re already doing, and I think the community and in-person networking piece is huge!
